An Introduction
“We only feature properties that meet clear quality criteria.”
How It Works

At OHK users have access to the property listings for a flat fee, and it's our unique policy to encourage and allow all prospective guests to view the actual apartment unit, house or room listed before submitting payment. Our mission is to remove the increasing fees and overall high costs of accommodations when you're traveling.
Viewings can be in person (recommended protocol) or in a live video. Owner pricing, you decide what you want to charge and how you want to handle the transactions. We do NOT use an algorithm that decides, or dictates pricing or change in prices, instead, we let guests and owners arrange the booking and cost negotiations to satisfy their needs.
See ‘Member Guidelines’ for specific details.
We provide a fair model for transparency and accountability. We look out for consumers and owners with our low fees for both guests and owners to provide the best business practices and guest experience.
A Few Easy Steps
Take back control of knowing where you're staying; no more mystery accommodations.

CREATING A LISTING and PROFILE
Go to the posting category you want, ie: Room w/ Private Bath
Click on leave a comment and that "IS" where you will create a post.
Upload pictures and enter the information about your listing, according to our guidelines, to ensure consistency.
Save the comment (this IS the listing or profile).
EVERY guest user and host (owner/manager) MUST create a personal profile.
DO NOT include a photo with guest profiles (for safety reasons).
Host facial photos are required and it helps to legitimize the listing; logos are not permitted.
See It, Trust It, Book It
VETTING A PROPERTY
-
Each listing MUST have clear recent photos and guests can view uploaded photos with reviews.
-
Meet the owner or manager- evaluate before you pay.
-
Use the OHK vetting sheet, as a guide. (it covers everything and is updated as needed)
-
Contract PDF (short stay version download) is provided for legal coverage.
-
We recommend MAXIMUM deposits of $50, to avoid losing a large amount of money.
Owners can ask for a deposit to cover damage, however, owners should have property insurance.
Only submit a deposit (incl. for holds) with receipt outlining the terms of a deposit return agreement (include the amount of deposit retention days, date submitted and when & how it's to be returned).
AirBnB Platform Model
You must read reviews carefully.
You check how long people stayed.
You ask where's the reviewer from (for expectations)
You zoom in on the map to guess the location.
You read reviews from the host’s other listings.
You study the photos hoping for clarity.
That’s a lot of work and it still doesn’t verify the space.
Other Home Keys is built differently.
You know the exact address, before you pay.
You see the actual space, in person or live.
Every listing follows clear hospitality protocols.
What’s listed reflects how the space actually feels to live in.
Your efforts leads to certainty, not sitting with crossed fingers.
Your stay is better than satisfying, it's what you want and expected.
That's how it should be.
