Financial Transactions
OHK does NOT ARRANGE or HANDLE booking payment and you cannot pay through us or our website, but we have suggestions as to how you can book your stay with a host.
There are many payment applications that will transfer funds. You can also pay with your mobile phones in many cases. However, making the best choice for your protection is important. Non US locations cannot require USD payments.
The currency you use to pay for the booking can be negotiated with the host, the host cannot demand or only accept dollars. If you choose to pay cash in the local currency be mindful of the exchange rate. Agree to the exchange rate you are comfortable with since rates can fluctuate.
Unlike a bank card or credit card, money transfer apps may not provide the same level of protection (against fraud or added charges you didn't approve or agree to). Guests need to arrange the appropriate payment method with the host.
Booking Deposits
Deposits are discretionary; it's NOT necessary; but if you want a little security to book a location, you may consider submitting a deposit. A host doesn't have to accept a booking hold deposit, but all hosts must arrange a viewing.
If a guest pays a deposit to hold a property:
• hosts must respect the agreed hold period
• it's understood this is not a booking agreement
• each party must follow up within the stated time frame to continue or release the hold.
Deposits cannot be more than $50 for a booking hold, all deposits should accompany a receipt (incl. booking address, unit number (if applicable), dates, deposit date, manner of payment (card, transfer, cash), when and how the deposit will be returned.
Booking holds can be used for potential guests who need to schedule viewing or have already scheduled a vetting viewing.

Membership Payments
All payments for memberships can be made through the website or via a cash application (i.e.: Venmo).
Membership changes will be processed for the following month or billing cycle. If you need to cancel a recurring membership, please cancel before the renew date.
OHK membership refunds are only given upon certain circumstances. See Terms and Conditions.

Taxes
OHK pays taxes based on the company’s registered location.
Hosts and guests are responsible to pay taxes based upon the listing location or according to law.
OHK does not keep track of tax laws in other countries.
